Quick Media Editing and Native QR Code scanner Coming soon in WhatsApp

Whatsapp is reportedly said to cater new feature within the app to bring better user experience. The WhatsApp is likely to feature new Quick Edit option for Media along with the QR scanner for its over 1.25 Billion active users.

WhatsApp is adding a Quick Edit Media option for shared and received images across the messaging platform, according to WABetaInfo. But this is not a new feature on the platform while this can help to edit and share the image across the contacts more quickly. Simply, this feature is present in WhatsApp now but it allows images to edit while adding images right from the Gallery while the coming feature will now help quickly edit images that sent or received across the Chats instead of going to the Gallery and then sharing to the app.

To further save effort and time, WhatsApp is adding Quick Media option on the share page where cropping, doodling and adding emoji or more directly instead of going through all that process. This feature is currently under beta stage and this is expected to both Android and iOS in the coming updates.

In the meanwhile, there is also another feature in the way of upcoming WhatsApp - QR scanner that also has been spotted earlier this month. This new feature would be similar to the current Messenger's QR Code of Facebook. This QR scanning feature allows users to add a person to contacts. This feature would likely come by the end of the year.
