Over the past few days, there are many and rumors are coming out regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 lineup. Recently, there has been a 15 seconds long hands-on video uploaded which the Galaxy S20+ in hand of a person who shows its sides, and this has been reported from XDA Developers and some more details about the same device. Some more information has been shared on the site.
The hands-on video has confirmed a few things that has been rumored like the center-aligned punch-hole front camera, the rectangular camera housing in the back, the in-display fingerprint scanner, lack of 3.5mm headphone jack etc. The device in the video is in black color which confirms one color out of others.
However, the report has also confirmed a few other details of the Samsung Galaxy S20+. The resolution of the display is 3200 X 1400 pixels with a taller 20:9 aspect ratio along an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor instead of the optical, according to the report. It also clears that Samsung is not opting for Qualcomm's new 3D Sonic Max ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, but it doesn't confirm that.
The display of the device is featured with a refresh rate of 120Hz along with an option to toggle this in settings. While the 120Hz is locked to a 1080p resolution so one has to choose between 60Hz at 1440p or 120Hz at 1080p which clears that one can't enjoy the best resolution and best refresh rate simultaneously. The same report further claimed that the Galaxy S20+ will support 25W charging as in Note 10 and the 25W Super-Fast charger comes in the box. The rated battery capacity of the device is 4500mAh and the device comes with 11GB of RAM while it will be marketed as 12GB, according to the site.
XDA Developers has also shared the side by side size comparison image of the upcoming Galaxy S20+ and S10+ to provide an idea about its size. But here is some disappointment too like 120Hz has been kept at lower resolution to retain some battery juice.
While the 25W charging speed will be quite slow while comparing other premium devices present in the market. As we can't see any 3.5mm headphone jack in the shared video, this comes out to be big bummer while the device will come with AKG USB Type-C earbuds out of the box.
The S20 Ultra 5G is going to keep the SD Card slot. Support for up to 1TB.— Max Weinbach (@MaxWinebach) January 13, 2020
It will also be available in 128GB/256GB/512GB and have a 12GB and 16GB RAM option.
108MP main, 48MP 10x optical, 12MP ultra wide.
5000 mAh battery with 45W option fast charge. 0 to 100% in 74 min.
These devices seem to be incredible but surely we have to wait to hear about the other two phones and the Galaxy Z Flip at Samsung Unpacked on February 11th.
