Android 11 Control
The latest Android 11 has focused on smart home devices and their controls. From now on, when you holding down the power button, it brings Device Controls. Google Home has already had the new API support which allows any app to appear on this grid and now users can tap to turn on/ off lights and drag the tiles to adjust brightness. There is also the Media Controls which lets you switch the output of playing audio/ video to headphones, speakers, or television. The 'Now Playing' has moved from the notification shade to the Quick settings which can be enabled from the Developer Options > "Media resumption" before being the default.

Android 11 has also focussed on Privacy– it lets users set one-time permission for apps to access the device's microphone, location, and camera. However, these permissions will be auto-reset if you haven't used an application for a long period of time. In Android 11, Google Play Store will also review all Android apps requesting background location access while the existing application has given until 2021 to follow the new guidelines. Other changes come with Android 11 include an in-built screen-recorder, Pixel launcher suggesting apps in the dock based on the user's usage habits, Emergency alerts in Spanish, and more.
