Redmi K30 5G Exteme Edition with SD 768G Launched : Price and Full Specification

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K30 series today as the Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition. It is the first smartphone to feature Qualcomm's upgraded Snapdragon 768G SoC. The new 5G enabled chipset brings a slight improvement in performance over the pre-existing Snapdragon 765 and 765G. Qualcomm claims that this brings improved clocked speed 2.8GHz than the earlier 2.4GHz and it also comes with the 15% performance boost of the Adreno 620 GPU.


The recently launched Snapdragon 786G SoC includes an integrated 5G modem making this smartphone compatible with dual mode SA/NSA 5G. The smartphone comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB on-board storage that is expandable via microSD card.

The Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition smartphone comes with same 120Hz as its predecessor. This comes with the similar display of 6.67-inch FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels) and a 20:9 aspect ratio, equipped with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the top.

This Extreme Edition has a vertically aligned quad camera setup at the back consisting of a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 5MP macro sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor which is quite similar to the Redmi K30 5G. For selfies, there's a 20MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor housed in a rectangular punch holes on the right corner of the screen.

This smartphone features a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as a USB-C port. It also comes with dual SIM support, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, an IR blaster and GPS/A-GPS in addition to the 5G connectivity. There's a side-mounted fingerprint sensor with the power button for security and the phone is splash resistant (P2i coating).

This entire package is powered by a 4,500mAh battery which can juice up by 30W fast charging while there is no wireless charging support. This smartphone comes with MIUI 11 custom skin based on Android 10.

The Redmi K30 5G Extreme Edition is priced at 1,999 Chinese Yuan (Rs. 21,400) and it comes in white, blue, purple and mint color options. This smartphone will be available in China from May 14th through JD.com.
