Asus Zenfone 7 and ROG Phone III to Debut in July; ROG Phone III Hits Geekbench and Wi-Fi Alliance
It's has been quite a long time when we have not heard something from the company. But Asus seems to announce two of its flagship smartphones in July or toward the end of second quarter, according to Taiwanese media Commercial Times. These two smartphones can be correctly predicted as the Zenfone 7 and the upcoming gaming ROG Phone III.
This report has aligned with the recent Wi-Fi certification of the upcoming ROG Phone III which clearly signifies about its current journey through the final stages of the development phase. While the latest report claims that ROG Phone III will come with Zenfone 7.
ROG Phone III has passed Wi-Fi Alliance's certification process and found in a recent Geekbench listing which surely signifies about its near announcement. The Geekbench listing and Wi-Fi certification have the model number asus ASUS_I003DD which is for the upcoming ROG Phone III as the ROG Phone II had previously already have similar I001D codename.
While the ROG Phone III in the listing bear the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC which can be confirm by the clock speed and test results. The smartphone has scored 902 points in single core test and 3074 points in multi-core test on the Geekbench 5.1.1. The handset found to be running on the latest Android 10 coupled with 8GB RAM.
Zenfone 7 will be for those who are looking for an all-round flagship while ROG Phone III will for the gaming squads which is way more expensive. The report also claims that the Taiwanese company is expecting 30-50% growth in ROG Phone sales after the 2020 version so we are hoping for some big surprise and aggressive pricing.
