Amazon Added New Free Tab to Fire TV: Update


Amazon has recently added a new "Free" section to Fire Tv menu's to navigation bar to help users to find free content across different platforms. The tab brings free ad-supported stemming services and apps like IMDB TV, the News app, Red Bull, Twitch, PBS and PBS Kids and so on as mentioned in Amazon's Blog post.
The Free tab content will be refresh regularly and the media is curated across new, trending and popular movies and TVshows categories. The company has said that most of the free tab consists of a collection of curated and thematic rows of movies and TV shows from our content providers. It also features a set of personalized, recommended rows of free movies and TV shows across categories like new, trending, and popular, as well as a dedicated row for news content powered by the News app on Fire TV.
The Free tab has also listed unlock content from streaming services and free kids and family content through Prime Video. The Company has also mentioned that all these contents and up to offer 20,000 free movies and TV episodes. Amazon has does after one of its major competitors in US, Roku added the similar feature. But Roku let you hide the free tab while Amazon doesn't.
The new Free tab is currently available for customers in the U.S. starting today. We are expecting it to expand to more regions in the near future.
