Realme X50 Pro Player Edition Passes Through Geekbench, Featuring Cooling, Audio and More

The Realme X50 Pro Player Edition is set to launch along with the other seven products in China on May 25. This is expected to feature as a gaming smartphone while a new teaser has also revealed that this will come with VC liquid cooling tech, Hyper Boost Gaming mode with Frame Boost and Touch Boost, and a Tactile Engine vibrating motor. It has already been confirmed that this smartphone will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. These specifications have now been listed on the Geekbench benchmark site before the launch.
The Realme X50 Pro Player Edition with model number RMX2072 has appeared on the Geekbench v4.4. This smartphone has score 4,309 in a single core test and 12,820 in multi-core test which is expected from SD 865 SoC. This listing has also revealed that the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition will feature 12GB RAM and Realme UI based on Android 10. The motherboard has a codename 'kona' which is for Qualcomm SD 865 SoC.
The performance of the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition matched with the Realme X50 Pro 5G as the relevant hardware in both the smartphone is same. The UFS storage version is different in both but the Geekbench doesn’t test storage speed. Realme has created a multi-layer cooling system that includes a vapor chamber and graphite sheets to provide both better peak performance and sustained performance. They cover the chipset completely and help it run 10°C cooler. The vapor chamber covers 1,821mm² while the graphite sheets add up to 9,650mm². HyperBoost will ensure stable frame rates by analyzing both user input and the state of the game.
Realme X50 Pro Player Edition was also recently spotted on TENAA with specifications like a 6.44-inch full-HD+ display. The phone will feature a quad camera setup at the back that includes a 48MP primary sensor, dual 2MP lenses and an 8MP wide-angle lens. It is said to have 16MP + 2MP dual selfie cameras in the pill-shaped punch-hole cutout on the front.

This smartphone may launch in 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB RAM and 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. The official looking render reveals that the screen will have a pill shaped hole in the top-left corner for 16MP + 2MP selfie cameras. The upcoming Pro Player Edition come with a 48MP primary sensor followed by 8MP ultra-wide sensor and two 2MP sensor for depth and macro which is a downgrade of the previously launched original X50 Pro.
It is also rumored that Realme X50 Pro Player edition will have a game center app which allows to manage games and related features from one place. It also allows to enable “do not disturb” features which block calls and notifications or allow texts and other messages to go through, displayed on a small window with the option to reply without leaving the game. It also packs super linear speakers for added immersion along with Dolby Atmos sound support and a Hi-Res audio certification. Additionally, a linear motor will provide 3D haptic feedback.

Some connectivity features expected include dual-mode 5G SA/ NSA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C. The device measures 159 x 74.2 x 8.9mm in size, weighs 209 grams. The Realme X50 Pro Player Edition will arrive in Dark Black, Silver White and Red color options. This smartphone will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and pack a 4,200mAh battery with 65W fast charging. Its base variant is expected to price around CNY 3,300 which is about Rs. 35,000.
