Samsung Galaxy M41 Dropped, Galaxy M51 Will Replace

Samsung Galaxy M51

Samsung Galaxy M41 is rumored to launch in the country this month while a recent report suggests that Samsung was testing CSOT flexible OLED panel from TCL for the smartphone. But now the report suggests that the company has canceled the development of Galaxy M41 and also dropped the plan of outsourcing the display. Earlier the company has been reported about featuring a third-party Chinese company's display in its Galaxy M41. The Elec has also reported that the South Korean giant could launch Samsung Galaxy M51 as it has also been in development for quite a while now.
There is not much known about the so-called Samsung Galaxy M51 but speculation suggests that it would be a rebrand of Galaxy A51 with few changes in hardware and design aesthetics. Samsung has well played with the idea of outsourcing of display from Chinese vendors for Galaxy M41 but it seems like the quality requirements have not met with the company's expectations. Samsung has planned to outsource the display from China to reduce the cost of its mid-range and budget smartphones to compete in the smartphone market.

Samsung Galaxy M51 specifications

Samsung Galaxy M51 is reportedly to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 675 SoC and may come with up to 8GB RAM, according to earlier reports. This smartphone will feature a quad rear camera setup with a 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor. The handset has also been rumored to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric security so we are expecting an AMOLED display. It is likely to come with Android 10 OS based on OneUI 2 custom skin out of the box. While there is not much known about this handset but we might know about its specifications in the near future.
