The upcoming Samsung’s Galaxy S21 lineup has quite in the news recently, with multiple leaks, rumours, and speculations revealing some details about them. Now, it’s more than two months after an Exynos-powered Galaxy S21 variant spotted on Geekbench, a Qualcomm-powered variant with model number SM-G996U has spotted on the same benchmarking site.

Believing it to be US-bound variant of Galaxy S21, the device listed on the Geekbench found to be powered by the ’lahaina’ chipset (Qualcomm’s internal code for 5nm-based Snapdragon 875), has 8GB RAM and running Android 11 out-of-the-box. The benchmark suggests that the device scores better than its Exynos counterpart, with 1,120 points in single-core test and 3,319 in multi-core test.

For the reference, the Exynos-powered model has only managed to score 1,038 in single-core and 3,060 points in multi-core which strongly suggest that the Qualcomm-powered model is faster and better than the Samsung’s in-house Exynos variant. This report comes in direct contrast to the earlier reports which suggest that the Exynos 2100 would be faster than the Snapdragon 875. Either way, Samsung is going to sell its Exynos variant at the same price and inferior performance across the globe except for the U.S. market.

While the latest Geekbench hasn’t revealed quite much detail, but a recent leak has provided a little info about the entire lineup, including display and camera setups. According to the leakster Max Weinbach, the Galaxy S21 will feature a 6.2-inch FHD+ display, while the Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra may ship with a 6.7-inch and 6.8-inch WQHD+ display respectively along with the 120Hz refresh rate in all three models.

The leakster has also claimed that the Galaxy S21 and S21+ will ship with the similar triple camera setup (12MP primary + 64MP telephoto + 12MP ultra-wide), the S21 Ultra will feature a quad-camera setup (108MP primary + 10MP 3x telephoto + 10MP ‘Super’ telephoto + 12MP ultra-wide). The Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra will also ship with 4,000mAh, 4,800mAh, and 5,000mAh batteries, respectively.
