Samsung Launched Budget-Centric Galaxy A02s and Galaxy A12

The long-rumoured Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s have finally unveiled as the company's next-gen budget-centric smartphone. Samsung Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s has just unveiled in Europe.

Galaxy A12 Specifications

The successor of the Galaxy A11- Galaxy A12 is featuring a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a significant bottom chin and an Infinity-V notch, housing an 8MP selfie sensor at the top. But if you are liking the punch-hole cutouts then Galaxy A12 is a downgrade over its predecessor.

The company has upgraded the camera system and offering a 48MP primary sensor in spite of the 12MP sensor in its predecessor. The quad-camera setup here is also an upgrade over its predecessor including a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor on the rear.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A12 is powered with an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.3GHz and 1.8GHz.Though the company has not specified the chipset while the leaks and specs have suggested that it is MediaTek Helio P35. It is coupled with up to 6GB RAM + 128 GB   in-built storage which can further be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The smartphone is equipped with a massive 5,000mAh battery (bigger than its predecessor) and 15W fast-charging support via the USB Type-C port at the bottom. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor onboard.

Galaxy A02s Specifications

On the other hand, the Galaxy A02s is the successor of the previously launched Galaxy A01. Samsung has just skipped to the standard A02 and simply moving to the 's' variant. This smartphone comes with the same 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 5MP selfie sensor housing in the notch.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A02s is powered with an octa-core chipset clocked at up to 1.8GHz. This would most likely be a Snapdragon 400-series chipset. It is coupled with 3GB RAM + 32GB in-built storage which can further be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy A02s offers a triple camera setup consisting a13MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. It packs a massive 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support.

Price and Availability

The Galaxy A02s is priced at €150 for the single 3GB+32GB variant. It will be available to buy in February 2021 and comes in Black and White colour variants.

Besides, the Galaxy A21 comes in several RAM and storage variants. It has been priced starting at €179 for the 3GB+32GB variant and goes up to €199 for the 6GB+128GB variant. It will be available in four colour variants — Black, White, Blue, and Red from January 2021 in Europe.
