WhatsApp To Soon Allow to Mute Videos Before Sending

Facebook has recently rolled out disappearing messaging, Mute Always (for specific contacts and chat threads), WhatsApp Pay and a new Shopping button recently. The Facebook-owned messaging app, WhatsApp, is working on a new feature which allows users to mute videos before sending them to others or posting them as Status updates. This feature has been spotted by a reliable WhatsApp tipster, WABetaInfo, which claims that the ‘Video Mute’ feature is under development and will be available through a future update.

This feature is firstly spotted in the WhatsApp beta version 2.20.207.2 which has started rolling out this week. Similar to any new feature, this feature is also found by APK teardowns and this feature will not be available for the general user even if you are using the WhatsApp Beta because this features can only be enabled manually. While there has not much known about this feature but we are looking forward and will inform soon if any update arrives.

WhatsApp is one of the most widely-used messaging apps, but this is certainly not the most feature-packed when compared with apps like Telegram and Signal, both come with a lot more functionality and especially offers more security and usability concerns. However, the Facebook-branded service has got quite a few features in the recent weeks which bundles more features than ever.

Apart from the disappearing messages, Mute Always and WhatsApp Pay, WhatsApp has also got a new storage management tool which helps users to free up storage space in their devices by making it easier to delete larger files including audio and video files which has been forwarded a number of times. In the case you want to move out for the beta program of WhatsApp, you can join from the Google Play Store.
