Official Confirmation: Xiaomi Mi 9 will be powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset
On 20th February, Xiaomi Mi 9 will be unveiled that cleary going to head to head with the upcoming Samsung S10. In the meanwhile, to build the hype for its flagship, Xiaomi already started posting details about its upcoming flagship Mi 9.
The latest update reveal that MI 9 is coming will Qualcomm powered Snapdragon 855 SoC.Xiang Wang says,”This result is coming by the collaboration between Xiaomi and Qualcomm, thanks to the Xiaomi’s R&D center in US”, SVP at Xiaomi on Social Platform.
The three types of core setup in the Snapdragon 855 gives literal statement 45% increase in performance over 845 SoC while GPU will see a boost of 20%. The first prime core is clocked at 2.84GHz (1 in number), the second type of core is Performance Core clocked at 2.42GHz (3in number) and the third type of core is Efficiency based Cores clocked at 1.80GHz (4 in number).The 855 SoC has 8 cores of Kryo 485 7nm processing technology with GPU of Adreno 640.All important AI engine is three times faster to boot. The chip has also support of Wi-Fi 6 and HDR10+ video (4K at 60fps). This is going to have first True HDR gaming support on mobile.
The 845 SoC has clock speed upto 2.8 GHz with Kryo 385 CPU based on 10nm processing technology and with Adreno 630 GPU.
The early Geekbench Score shows that Xiaomi Mi 9 will be tangibly faster than its predecessor. On the basis of the Antutu v7.2.4 score posted by XIaomi, it may gain even higher than 45%. By the other official posts, It will going to have a pretty nice back and 48MP photo support from its triple rear back camera.
