Redmi Go launching on 19 March at Rs. 3,4999 in India


Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi announced “Redmi Go” as their first Android Go smartphone in late January. This will going to be the first Google's Android Go program based smartphone from the Chinese Sub-brand Redmi. In context of that, the company has rolled out invites for media and mi fans in the country. The tagline “'GO’ #MiForYou” has been used for the invite which confirms the former statement.


Redmi Go will be going to launch on 19th March in India as we get clue from Manu Jain's twitter Handle. An event page published on the company's website for this launch with a special Countdown.

The page also reveals that Redmi Go will arrive with dedicated expandable storage, Google Assistant in Hindi,and 20+ regional language. The smartphone has already made its presence in Kenya so we're well aware of the specs that it would be going to offer.

Redmi Go will come with the 1.4GHz based Snapdragon 425 SoC, the same came with Redmi 5A. This smartphone will have 5.0 inch HD LCD panel (1280x720p) and equipped with 8GB internal storage, 1GB RAM,3000mAh battery, which is enough a whole day under normal usage. Again, Redmi Go will have Android Go based on Android Oreo 8.1.



The Rear Camera is equipped with 8MP primary camera of aperture f/2.0 with a LED flash. In front, there is 5MP selfie shooter.


It is expected that this smartphone will be priced around Rs. 4,000.
