Google’s Messages App Testing Emoji Reactions Feature in RCS Chats

Google has been working hard to put its messaging service at right place and provide RCS chat feature to public via its Android stock messaging app. While it's far from iMessage as of now but the software giant is continuously adding new features to enhance the user experience. The latest feature is regarding the emoji reactions to RCS messages which in under testing now.
This emoji reactions have previously been showed up by 9to5Google. But the gesture has now started to appear for some users. If you are unaware then allow me to disclose it to you, if you long press on a message then you find a host of emojis pop-up on the screen similar to those of Facebook or Twitter. If you get away from a lengthy conversation then you can certainly go for the emoji reactions which is one of the ways to give it a try.

These emoji reactions have first noticed by some users over Reddit. While for now, it looks like it is limited for a set of users and they can see seven different emoji choices while long-pressing a message. But it is also noteworthy that this is not currently out for the majority of users including me even if you are using the beta build of Google Messages app.
Now, you surely be wondering about what will happen if one user has received this reactions feature and the other hasn’t? As per reports, the user who doesn’t have the new emoji reactions feature will receive reactions via an RCS text message saying — *emoji* to *certain text message* to, let’s say, tell you that your friend laughed at your message. But this looks super confusing at first and it could feel the same for many RCS users.
