WhatsApp Beta 2.20.163 Got Messenger Rooms Integration

Facebook seems to putting all efforts to get the major video conferencing market from its rivals like Zoom and Google Meet. The company has recently rolled out Messenger Rooms to everyone across the globe this week. Now, WhatsApp has also started to get Messenger Rooms Integration and it is already working some selected users.
The Messenger Room integration has gone live today with the Messenger Rooms integration for WhatsApp Android Beta users with the latest build 2.20.163. This feature is rolling out in phases but it got to be live for everyone on WhatsApp beta program. As per WABetaInfo, this rollout has begun with US but selected users from Ghana and India have got their hands on this feature within their WhatsApp. In case, if you have WhatsApp Beta and doesn't got that feature then let me know you that you are alone in this.
The 'Messenger Rooms' will be accessible from two places in WhatsApp. You can tab the 'Attachments' icon to see the Messenger Rooms icon or the 'Calls tab' as it has also got the same icon along with the Start Call option. To make a Messenger Rooms call, all you need to have the Facebook Messenger app on your device. WhatsApp will explain you the feature and show a ‘Continue in Messenger’ button to create the room. Once the room is created then you can invite people via sharing links in you WhatsApp Group. This Facebook Messenger Rooms has got support up to 50 participants.

But wait, do you know that this Messenger Rooms calls are end to end encrypted like WhatsApp which now support up to 8 participants. It is interesting to see how the company has made video conferencing accessibility possible for its massive userbase through WhatsApp which is free and within this short amount of time. The integration is currently available for Android beta users but it will make its way to iOS beta in next few days.
