Xiaomi India Second Price Hike for Three Redmi Smartphone
Merely a month after the price hike because of the increased GST tax rate, Xiaomi has once again hiked the price of three of its budget smartphones. The price of Redmi Note 8, Redmi 8, and Redmi 8A Dual has been hiked by up to Rs. 500 in India. Xiaomi has not officially announced the hike but the updated price tags are live on the company’s website.
It has been just a month after the increased price because of increased GST but Xiaomi has again hiked the price of three budget smartphones - Redmi Note 8, Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A Dual by up to Rs. 500 in India. But Xiaomi has not announced about any price hike but the company has just updated the pricing on its official website.
While these are only the three smartphones that bear the cost of second price hike as we have not found any other smartphone's price changed. Popular smartphones like Redmi Note 9 Pro or Redmi K20 Pro has not get affected by this second price hike by the company.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro has got Rs 500 price hike as it starts now with Rs 11,499 instead of Rs 10,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant. While the Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A Dual which has unveiled a couple of months ago, got Rs 300 hike in prices so these are being selling at Rs 9,299 and Rs 7,299 respectively in India.

We are not certain about the reason behind the second price hike of Xiaomi specially of its budget offering smartphones after the GST price hike in the earlier month. But again, if you are seeking for an entry-level smartphone, Redmi 8A Dual and Redmi 8 are great options.
