The Chinese giant, Xiaomi has been allegedly working on the Mi Band 5 and we have heard about it for quite a while. While a recent WeChat post of Xiaomi Mall (public account) suggest that the Mi Band 5 would launch on the upcoming June 11 in Chinese market.

However, the post doesn't reveal quite much about the upcoming fitness band but there has been a lot of leaks and rumors roaming around about it. The Mi Band 5 is supposed to bring change in design aspect of the fitness band while the company seems to moving with a simple and flat design this time ditching the slight indent on the front of the band, featuring a larger 1.2-inch display.

Some rumors are also suggesting that the upcoming Mi Band 5 will bring a new type of charger as a plug-in based charger instead of the previous pinned cradle charger.
In terms of features, the Mi Band 5 will feature the NFC to the global variant too while some reports are also suggesting that this could come with Google Pay support. But if that true then it will become the big addition to the band allowing users to make NFC payment with Google Pay.

Mi Band 5 will support new analog watch faces along with 5 new sports modes (yoga, elliptical machine, rowing machine, skipping rope, and indoor bicycle), SpO2 (Blood oxygen saturation) and menstrual cycle tracking. In the meanwhile, the Xiaomi Wearable App codes have revealed about NFC, Xiaoai voice assistant, dial, event reminder, target reminder, wrist lock, night mode, launcher, camera, unlock phone, etc.
The Mi Band 5 is also rumored to feature the AI assistant support with the Amazon's Alexa for the global variant while XiaoAi for the Chinese variant. While there is nothing confirmed officially so this can be taken as pinch of salt and we should wait the official release of the Mi Band 5 on the June 11.
