Google Fit Brings Revamped Homescreen Wear OS Gets Redesigned Weather App


The Google Fit app on both Android and iOS is getting an update for which the company says that it will make easier to find all fitness data at one place. The Google Fit has got a dedicated easy-to-view hub which enables users to know their daily and weekly goals for Heart Points and Steps.

The company has said that the hub will also enable users to have a glace on their recent workout and keep track of their heart rate, weight and blood pressure logistics over time. The app now also has a new sharing feature which enables the user to share stats, routes or photos from their favorite Google Fit journal entries to social media or messaging apps.

The update has also brought more sleep analytics to Google Fit to track the sleep pattern and activity, view sleep stages, set a goal for bedtime schedules and more, via connected devices like Fossil Gen 5E or supported apps like Sleep Cycle.

Alongside some elements on Wear OS are also getting updated. Firstly, Google is adding shortcuts in Google Fit WorkOuts Tile in Wear OS to show users their most recent workouts. The design has bolder along with brighter for the weather app on the WearOS. The new design is easier for eyes and provides more relevant forecast details which include precipitation and weather alerts.

This update has brought a new ‘Breathe Tile’ that the company claims will help users decompress with easier access to guided breathing sessions. The company said, “Once it’s finished, you can view a summary that includes how your heart rate changed between the beginning and end, and you can also see a recap of your breathing sessions for the week”. These updates will be rolling out in the upcoming few days.
